Job summary

Crowley Fabricating is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator A to set up and run CNC lathe machines and related equipment in our shop. You will execute complex setups and train General Operators to run machines as needed.

Responsibilities include safe operation, tool changes, reading blueprints, ensuring part conformity, and maintaining accurate paperwork. You will also monitor feeds and speeds, troubleshoot issues, and assist teammates in a cell environment to meet production goals.

Qualifications

Experience in CNC lathe operations and adherence to machining best practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets and sketches.
Competence in setting up lathes, changing tools, and adjusting setups per work orders.

Responsibilities

Work safely, report any safety or equipment issues.
Set up lathes per documented setup sheets and monitor operation for malfunctions.
Change cutting tools and adjust sequences to meet blueprint specs.
Operate more than one machine in a cellular environment as required.
Read blueprints and inspect parts for conformance to drawings.
Maintain paperwork related to counts, scrap, time, etc. per policy.
Train and assist other employees as needed.
Perform machine maintenance as required.
