Unknown is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join its production team in New Britain, CT. Duties include setting up and operating CNC lathes, reading blueprints, and training operators, with a focus on quality and lean practices.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of CNC setup experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with measurement tools to ensure precision across batches.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of CNC machine setup experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of machining feeds and speeds.
• Proficiency with inspection tools, measuring instruments, and gauges.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate CNC lathe equipment, including Nakamura machines.
• Interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Select and set tooling, determine feeds and speeds.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Train and monitor department operators.
• Maintain 5S and a clean, safe work area.
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues.
• Conduct line walks and report safety concerns.
