Lagun Precision Engineering is seeking a Senior Principal CNC Installation & Controls Service Specialist in Harbor City, CA. You’ll own the toughest installs, commissioning large CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers, ensuring axis, spindle, and subsystems perform to spec.

You’ll lead on-site and in-house support, read electrical schematics, and train operators. This role requires travel up to 50% and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and commissioning large CNC machine tools.
• Experience with mills or lathes.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Able to travel up to 50% with valid driver’s license.
• Senior-level professional ready to lead.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end installations and commissioning of large CNC equipment.
• Coordinate rigging, placement, alignment, and calibration.
• Set up CNC controls and fine-tune motion systems; troubleshoot servos, spindles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults (up to 480V).
• Provide on-site and in-house support; train operators and maintenance staff.
• Document all service actions, parts usage, and recommendations.
