Job summary

Rocket Lab’s Facilities team in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and install support for CNC and auxiliary equipment at our headquarters. The role requires deep mechanical expertise and experience in a regulated manufacturing setting.

You will diagnose mechanical failures, support vacuum pumps and chillers, and coordinate with OEMs and service contractors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years maintaining and repairing CNC equipment, industrial compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, chillers.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
• Experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 120v, 208v, 240v, 277v, and 480v.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair CNC assets to ensure their proper operating condition.
• Create and carry out preventative maintenance requirements for CNC machines (Haas, DMG, Hermle, and Mazak).
• Create and maintain maintenance plans within the approved systems.
• Maintain and repair additional equipment such as inspection equipment, testing equipment, 3D printers, vacuum pumps, etc.
