Job summary

Rocket Lab's Facilities team seeks a Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation support for a wide range of industrial manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure at the Long Beach, CA headquarters.

The role emphasizes maintaining CNC assets, reading schematics, coordinating with OEMs and contractors, and contributing to a safe, efficient work environment while supporting equipment installation and testing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience maintaining and repairing CNC equipment, industrial compressed air systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, chillers.
• Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all critical CNC assets to ensure proper operating condition.
• Create and carry out preventative maintenance requirements for CNC machines (Haas, DMG, Hermle, Mazak).
• Develop and maintain maintenance plans within approved systems.
• Inspect, repair, and support vacuum pumps, chillers, cooling systems, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics and drawings.
