The role requires 5 years of experience and proficiency with StuderWin/Studer Pictogram GUI, blueprints, and metrology tools. You will work with a team to optimize grinding processes and ensure top-quality results.

Qualifications

• 5 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent combination of education.
• Experience with Studer CNC controls is preferred.
• Ability to inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
• Detail-oriented with capability for routine maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints and planning sheets.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual cylindrical grinders (S33, S40, Okamoto, Kent) for OD/ID/face grinding.
• Establish efficient grinding processes and determine wheel requirements.
• Develop setup and operation sheets.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical data to determine holding requirements and methods.
• Calculate machine controls for depth of cut, speed, feed and coolant flow.
• Assemble mechanical parts of high-speed rotor shafts.
• Use metrology tools and perform stack-up tolerancing calculations.
• Interface with engineering and manufacturing teams on design/build issues.
• Provide feedback to support continuous improvement.
