Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Carson City, NV seeks a Senior CNC Manufacturing Engineer to hands-on support machining of aerospace and gas turbine components. This direct-hire role emphasizes process development, tooling, programming, and Lean improvements on the shop floor.

We look for an engineer with a formal degree and 5+ years in machining or manufacturing, with a strong CNC background and CAD/CAM experience to lead projects from development to production and drive efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of machining, manufacturing, or engineering experience.
• Strong CNC machining and/or CNC programming background.
• Experience with multi-axis milling and/or grinding.
• CAM programming and 3D CAD experience.
• Experience developing machining processes, fixtures, and tooling.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining processes directly on the shop floor.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC machining processes for complex components.
• Create and improve CNC programs, fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing methods.
• Support multi-axis CNC milling and grinding operations.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, quality, and production issues.
• Develop new fixtures and tooling for manufacturing processes.
• Use CAD/CAM software for programming and process development.
• Collaborate with machinists, Operations, Quality, and Engineering.
• Support new product introduction and component/repair development.
• Lead process improvement and Lean manufacturing projects.
• Improve machining quality, cycle time, efficiency, and process capability.
• Lead technical projects from development through production.
