Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Rancho Dominguez, CA to lead electrical design for CNC machine controls and PC-based platforms. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience in industrial control systems, a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, and proficiency with Altium/OrCAD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering or industrial control systems.
• Strong circuit design, PCB development, and hardware debugging skills.
• Experience with Altium or OrCAD PCB software; oscilloscope and logic analyser experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for CNC machine tool controls and Windows-based platforms.
• Create circuit designs, schematics, and PCB layouts for production electronics.
• Design electrical cabinets, schematics, cable, and wire assemblies.
• Select electrical and electronic components and identify second sources.
• Integrate EtherCAT-based motion control systems for axis, spindle motors, and distributed I/O.
• Troubleshoot complex machine and control issues across electrical, electronic, software, and mechanical domains.
• Collaborate with customer service to troubleshoot current and legacy machines and controls.
• Design and build test equipment to validate production control hardware.
