Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced setups and changeovers on Acme multi-spindle machines.
• Optimize feeds, speeds, tooling, and cam timing for efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot complex machining and material issues.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements and lead first-article inspections.
• Support quoting, cost estimating, and process development.
• Mentor operators and junior technicians while establishing best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement, reduce changeover times, and improve utilization.

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a well-established precision manufacturerin Massillon, OH to hire a Senior CNC Acme Setup Technician– Technical Lead. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of $27-29/hour based on experience and skill level. This role focuses on advanced machine setup, process optimization, and technical leadership within a multi-spindle machining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced setups and changeovers on Acme multi-spindle machines
• Optimize feeds, speeds, tooling, and cam timing for efficiency and quality
• Troubleshoot complex machining and material issues
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements and lead first-article inspections
• Support quoting, cost estimating, and process development
• Mentor operators and junior technicians while establishing best practices
• Drive continuous improvement, reduce changeover times, and improve utilization

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Acme or multi-spindle setup experience
• Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T
• Advanced knowledge of tooling, materials, feeds, and speeds
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilityExperience with precision measurement tools
• Ability to work independently and make technical decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous technical lead or senior setup experience
• Experience supporting quoting or cost estimating
• ERP/MRP system familiarity
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
• Experience with new product launches or PPAP
