Job summary

Good Samaritan, a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of housing and services to seniors, is seeking a Senior Nursing Assistant (CNA) for day shifts at Miller Prairie Center in Miller, SD. The role supports resident-centered care under RN supervision and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

You will assist with daily living activities, vitals, documentation, and restorative nursing while promoting infection prevention and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
• Completes annual competency testing and maintains continuing education credits (12 hours annually).
• Restorative Nursing training within 6 months may be required.
• Registered with UAP Registry where applicable.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with valid license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with daily living activities and vital signs.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes as needed.
• Support restorative nursing programs and participate in committees as needed.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry to keep living areas clean and operational.
