Job summary

The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs is seeking a Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (SCNA) to support Activities and daily living for residents at Alwyn C. Cashe State Veterans’ Nursing Home in Orlando.

You will develop and implement activity plans, document care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team while providing compassionate, resident-centered care on a schedule that may include weekends and holidays. This role is based in Orlando, FL and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have current Florida CNA license.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must have valid Florida driver’s license and CPR certification.
• Successful completion of background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and implement activities.
• Document plans and resident data in the medical record.
• Provide care when the Activities Director is unavailable.
• Maintain activity space, safety, and equipment for programs.
• Escort residents to appointments and support mobility as needed.
