Job summary

WDP & Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc. in Manassas, Virginia seeks an experienced Construction Materials Testing & Inspection (CMT) Engineer to lead field and laboratory operations. A Virginia-licensed PE with 7+ years of CMT experience is ideal to guide a growing division and drive client relationships.

You will manage inspectors and staff, review reports, and support business development for Metro DC and Northern Virginia projects, with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Virginia Professional Engineer license is required.
• 7+ years of construction materials testing & inspection experience.
• Leadership and mentoring capability required.
• Strong knowledge of inspection practices and lab testing procedures.
• Experience with Special Inspections and Critical Structures in Metro DC region.

Responsibilities

• Lead field and laboratory testing/inspection operations.
• Mentor inspectors, technicians, and laboratory staff.
• Act as Inspector of Record for Special Inspections on projects.
• Oversee testing of soils, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, utilities, and pavements.
• Prepare quality and deficiency reports; ensure documentation aligns with plans and standards.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposals.
