Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a CMP Equipment and Installation Engineer responsible for setup, calibration, and maintenance of precision polishing systems used to planarize semiconductor wafers. You will ensure installation to requirements, optimize yield and uphold surface flatness, with hands-on hardware troubleshooting in a cleanroom. A 4‑year field/installation record is required and safety standards adherence is essential. The role is full-time and on-site in Austin.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
Hands-on equipment/instrument handling with hardware.
Safety certifications and compliance knowledge required.
Training in LOTO and OSHA general industry standards.
Responsibilities
Proficiency with schematics and blueprints for equipment setup.
Electromechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CMP systems.
Rigging and material handling for installation projects.
Commissioning and validation of facilities systems.
Project and time management across installation phases.
Adaptability and field problem-solving in a cleanroom environment.
