Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Sensors & Controls Division in Tempe, AZ, seeks a Sr. CMM Programmer/Quality Inspector to develop and modify CMM inspection programs, operate and maintain CMM equipment, and verify GD&T requirements on parts. This role emphasizes precision, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will document results, assist with quality improvements, and train junior staff while supporting procedures and records in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GD&T and quality systems.
• Proficiency with CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Experience in inspection methods and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain CMM equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Perform inspections and verify GD&T conformance on manufactured parts.
• Troubleshoot measurement and programming issues to reduce downtime.
• Analyze and document measurement data and findings.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve quality concerns.
• Train and support junior programmers or QC personnel in CMM operations.
• Prepare inspection records and quality control reports for accuracy.
