Job summary

laborup is seeking a Senior CMM Programmer to lead advanced inspection programs in a precision aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. You will develop and optimize CMM inspection routines, interpret complex drawings, and ensure tight tolerances are met for first article and production inspections.

You will work with Wenzel CMM systems, Siemens NX, and laser inspection tech, collaborating across manufacturing engineering and CNC programming to drive quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of CMM programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience programming Wenzel CMM systems or comparable CMM platforms.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs for complex aerospace and defense components.
• Program and operate Wenzel CMM systems for first article, in-process, and final inspection.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, and specifications to create accurate inspection routines.
• Support new product introductions by developing inspection strategies with manufacturing engineering and CNC programming.
• Perform first article inspections and prepare detailed dimensional reports.
• Troubleshoot dimensional issues with machinists, programmers, and engineers to identify root causes.
• Validate process capability through metrology data and SPC.
