Job summary

Responsibilities include operating manual CMMs, interpreting GD&T, collaborating with engineering, and documenting inspection data. Strong Q.A. principles and ANSI knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certifications or associate degrees preferred.
• At least 5 years of precision inspection experience with CMMs in controlled environments.
• Strong GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5) for interpreting complex drawings.
• Experience with CMM software and measurement hand tools.
• Knowledge of ANSI sampling standards and quality assurance principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient math and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual CMMs for in-process, first-article, and final inspections.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T symbols to identify critical dimensions.
• Collaborate with engineering to determine inspection dimensions.
• Record inspection data and document acceptance or rejection.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies with engineering/manufacturing.
• Label and segregate nonconforming materials.
• Assist with non-CMM inspections as needed.
