Aerotek in Anaheim, CA is seeking a skilled CMM Inspector to program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso. You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on high-precision aerospace components to ensure compliance with GD&T and AS9100 standards.

Ideal candidates have 13+ years in CMM programming, strong attention to detail, and experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Contract-to-hire, onsite, with a daytime first shift and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 13 years of hands-on CMM programming experience.
• Proficiency programming and operating Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience performing first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Effective problem-solving skills to identify and resolve dimensional and quality issues.
• Experience in aerospace/CNC shop environment (valued).
• Solid understanding of standard inspection practices (calipers, micrometers).
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso to inspect precision components.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace parts.
• Read engineering blueprints and GD&T to determine inspection requirements.
• Verify conformance using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Create, maintain, and organize inspection reports and data.
• Identify nonconforming products and support root cause analysis.
• Uphold AS9100 standards and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality staff to resolve issues.
• Use Faro arm or related equipment to validate dimensions as needed.
