Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Senior Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) Designer for its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. The role leads complex CMF solutions, develops color palettes, and communicates CMF strategies to cross-functional teams and executives.

The candidate will mentor junior designers, maintain CMF libraries, and ensure detailed specifications for production. 6+ years of CMF experience and a degree in Industrial Design are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design or related discipline; 6+ years CMF design experience.
• Strong academic record with GPA guidance.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, KeyShot and Figma.
• Knowledge of materials such as plastic, silicone, metals, coatings.
• High color acuity; able to pass color test.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of CMF solutions across consumer products.
• Collaborate with design, engineering and segment leaders to meet product goals.
• Develop new or refreshed color palettes and CMF strategies.
• Present CMF strategies to stakeholders and executives.
• Maintain CMF library and detailed specifications for production.
• Mentor junior CMF designers and contribute training.
