Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group in Jemison, AL is seeking a Senior Certified Medical Assistant to support our fast-paced internal medicine team. You will perform hands-on patient care under provider direction, assist with exams, and help maintain efficient clinic flow.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of CMA experience, current CMA and BLS certifications, and thrives in a busy, patient-centered environment. Benefits start day one and Tuition assistance is available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of CMA experience (required).
• Completion of an approved MA training program or 1 year MA experience in addition to required experience.
• Current CMA certification from an approved agency (AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, NAHP, etc.).
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Thrives in a busy environment with strong multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient care activities.
• Prepare patients for visits and gather accurate clinical information.
• Enter orders under provider direction (labs, medications, diagnostic imaging).
• Document care per policy and maintain smooth patient flow.
• Support patients needing specialty scheduling or care coordination.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
