Job summary

Averro is seeking a senior Configuration Management leader to own and establish the configuration management function for a next-generation nuclear technology program. This role demands building a CM framework, defining baselines across hardware, software, and documentation, and leading change control from intake through disposition.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure teams operate from approved design information, drive audits and lifecycle traceability,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 15+ years CM experience in hardware/engineering CM.
• Regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, or defense.
• Experience writing CM plans and managing engineering baselines for physical products.
• Experience establishing a CM framework with limited existing structure.
• Teamcenter or comparable PLM experience.
• Familiarity with CM standards such as EIA-649, CMII, or NQA-1.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain product baselines across hardware, software, and documentation.
• Chair configuration control boards and lead change control from intake through disposition.
• Build a reliable configuration source of truth across programs, resolving historical document conflicts along the way.
• Drive configuration audits, status accounting, and full lifecycle traceability.
• Develop digital tools and workflows to increase visibility and reduce manual effort.
• Work directly with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure teams operate from correct, approved design information.
