Job summary

SAIC in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Analyst to develop and track configuration documentation, data, and software for our technical products, services, and processes. You will ensure CIs are properly stored and controlled throughout their lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality documentation to the government customer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years experience working directly as a CM of a Team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration documentation.
• Understanding of configuration management principles and concepts including understanding of creating and maintaining bills of material (BOMs) and/or baselines (BLs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Utilize configuration management tools and systems to track and control configuration items throughout the development lifecycle.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation of the status and history of configuration items, including tracking changes and releases.
• Assist in monitoring and auditing configuration changes to ensure compliance with established processes.
• Provide support to development teams on configuration management-related tasks and inquiries.
• Contribute to identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance CM practices.
