Job summary

Whippoorwill Club in Armonk, NY is seeking a highly engaged Assistant General Manager to lead operations in a family‑oriented private club. Reporting to the General Manager, the AGM will oversee food & beverage, facilities, capital projects, and member experiences, while developing managers and staff and upholding service excellence.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership in a private club, resort, hotel, or equivalent hospitality setting.
• Experience as Assistant General Manager, Clubhouse Manager, or senior F&B leadership.
• Visible, approachable leadership with strong communication and service focus.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, coach, and retain front-of-house teams.
• Financial and operational acumen including budgeting and labor management.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership across operations with the General Manager and department heads.
• Monitor labor, purchasing, inventories, and departmental performance.
• Manage operating budgets and coordinate clubhouse activity with golf, racquets, pool.
• Act as on-duty manager and maintain strong member relations.
• Drive improvements in consistency, accountability, and service excellence.
