Job summary

Whippoorwill Club in Armonk, NY seeks an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager in leading daily operations, member services, and capital projects. This role requires visible leadership, staff development, and a keen focus on delivering a high-touch member experience.

You will oversee budgeting, labor, procurement, and cross-department coordination with venues like golf, racquets, pool, and dining, while building strong relationships with committees and the Board.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership in a private club or hospitality setting.
• Visible, approachable leadership that builds trust with members and staff.
• Recruiting, training, coaching, and retaining front‑of‑house teams.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, payroll oversight, and performance reporting.
• Experience leading multi-venue food & beverage operations and events.
• Collaboration with culinary leadership on menus and events.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and follow‑through skills.
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented management style.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with members, staff, and committees through a visible leadership style.
• Oversee daily operations, facilities needs, and capital projects.
• Lead staffing, onboarding, training, and accountability across departments.
• Manage budgets, labor, purchasing, inventory, and reporting with leadership.
• Coordinate Club activities across F&B, culinary, golf, racquets, pool, and events.
