Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Senior CloudOps Engineer to own cloud operations, DevOps practices, and CI/CD tooling across our Google Cloud Platform environment.

You will manage GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, and related services, implement automation with shell scripting and Python, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams and occasional on‑call support; a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years development experience with solid programming abilities.
• 2+ years of development on cloud platforms such as GCP/AWS/Azure.
• Experience with Bash, SQL, Java, Python or Groovy.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform products such as Kubernetes and Istio.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and optimize GCP workloads including GKE and Cloud SQL.
• Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines with automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Develop automation using shell scripting and Python.
• Lead incident triage, root cause analysis, and remediation.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with offshore teams.
• Support CICD and development tools and pipelines.
