Job summary

Cloud is hiring engineers to work on next-generation network and distributed system technologies. The team focuses on end-to-end stack development, telemetry, and scalable infrastructure across information retrieval, distributed computing, and AI workloads.

As a software engineer, you will contribute to critical projects with opportunities to switch teams as the business grows, taking ownership and driving innovation across the full-stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of object-oriented programming experience in Java, C++, or Python.
• 3 years of testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of software design and architecture experience.
• 5 years of data structures and algorithms experience.
• 1 year of technical leadership experience.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance network telemetry for visibility and troubleshooting.
• Cross-layer optimization based on production learnings.
• Improve visibility into the network stack and related components.
• Tune host networking stack for multi-slice data center network performance for NPIs.
• Analyze, debug, and optimize host networking for distributed ML workloads on Cloud TPUs.
