Job summary

Leidos in the United States is seeking a Principal Cloud Systems Engineer to support the Defense Enclave Services (DES) team on a critical DISA/DoD modernization program. The role focuses on distributed systems and cloud infrastructure across on-prem and Azure environments, advancing zero-trust initiatives.

You will design, deploy, test, and migrate network solutions, ensure security policies are enforced, and collaborate with a distributed team to deliver secure, scalable cloud services for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Expertise designing, deploying, and operating solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Virtual switches, VPCs, and Virtual Firewalls.
• Experience with Identity Access Management (IDAM), AzureAD, and CyberArk, Okta or other ICAM solutions.
• Knowledge of NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA security requirements.
• Ability to work effectively within a distributed technical team with strong communication skills.
• Current IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ or CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Design zero-trust network solutions for a hybrid on-premise and Azure enclave.
• Ensure security requirements and modernization efforts can be implemented without disrupting operations.
• Support Cloud deployment of modernized network services.
• Develop secure network solutions with Virtual switches, VPCs and Virtual Firewalls.
• Provide inputs to the enterprise cloud and mission architecture.
• Evaluate applications across platforms to align with cloud modernization strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce sustainment costs.
• Enforce security policies and data/network security best practices.
