Job summary

Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Compute team offers an opportunity to design, build and operate scalable, distributed cloud services. You will contribute to host state management, automation and telemetry, shaping how GPU/CPU systems scale in a multi-tenant environment.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in distributed systems, strong Java and Linux expertise, and a proven track record in DevOps, telemetry and on-call rotation. This role is based in the US as part of Oracle’s OCI Compute group.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience
• 6 years of Dev/DevOps experience with large scale, highly available distributed systems
• Proficiency with Cloud-based Data Store primitives
• Proficiency in Java programming patterns
• Experience with operating distributed services at scale
• Expertise in Linux and operating systems
• Systematic problem-solving approach and strong communication
• Deep understanding of service metrics and alarms via dashboards/KPIs
• Automation, optimization and enhancements
• Mentor junior engineers
• On-call rotation available

• Define and develop software for tasks related to building and debugging software applications or operating systems
