Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Technical Support team. You will provide advanced technical support for Vultr’s cloud products and infrastructure, serving as an escalation point for complex issues and supporting customers and internal teams in diagnosing and resolving platform-related problems.

You will collaborate with customers, system administrators, and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues, coordinate resolutions, and contribute to improving

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in enterprise technical support or a similar advanced support role (3+ years).
• Strong experience with Linux systems, including command-line tooling for troubleshooting and investigation.
• Solid understanding of troubleshooting methodologies for complex, non-routine technical issues.
• Experience with enterprise networking concepts to diagnose and support platform-level issues.
• Experience supporting enterprise environments in cloud/IaaS contexts.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate under pressure.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical guidance for Vultr products and services, including escalated issues.
• Act as first responder to platform-level alerts and incidents, assess impact, troubleshoot, and escalate as needed.
• Lead incident analysis, conduct root cause investigations, and recommend preventive actions.
• Coordinate with system admins, engineering, and other teams to resolve platform issues and outages.
• Create, update, and maintain internal docs and knowledge base for the team.
