T. Rowe Price is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer (Storage) to define architecture and standards for enterprise cloud storage, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will help transition from on-prem to cloud storage, mentor engineers, and collaborate across security, architecture, and platform teams.

The role emphasizes securing scalable storage platforms, automating provisioning, and guiding cost-efficient, compliant storage solutions in a hybrid, US-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and typically 10+ years of experience designing, engineering, and operating enterprise storage or cloud infrastructure with senior-level impact.
• Deep hands-on expertise with NetApp and Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, with strong knowledge of Nasuni and AWS native storage services (EFS, EBS, S3, AWS Backup).
• Expert knowledge of storage architecture, file/block services, data protection, replication, backup and recovery, performance engineering, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
• Experience designing storage solutions for highly available, resilient, secure, and large-scale enterprise workloads.
• Strong automation experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, scripting, APIs, and Git-based delivery workflows.
• Working knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, encryption, monitoring, logging, and security controls supporting storage platforms.
• Proven ability to lead complex storage migrations and resolve performance, availability, and integration challenges across infra and app layers.
• Strong communication skills to influence architecture decisions and explain tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing teams without formal management.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and evolution of cloud storage platforms to support CloudNext and data-center exit objectives.
• Define enterprise storage patterns across NetApp, NASuni, and AWS storage services.
• Engineer secure, scalable, highly available storage solutions for enterprise workloads.
• Own technical standards for performance, availability, recoverability, data protection, lifecycle management, and cost efficiency.
• Design and implement automation for provisioning, configuration, policy enforcement, monitoring, and operational support using IaC and Git workflows.
• Create reusable modules and guardrails to enable wide adoption at scale.
• Provide technical leadership for workload discovery, migration planning, data movement, cutover, validation, and decommissioning.
