T. Rowe Price in Maryland is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to drive architecture, modernization, and reliability of our enterprise network. You will mentor engineers, lead multi-cloud connectivity, and define standards across design, operations, and incident response.

The role emphasizes hybrid-cloud networking, automation, and performance optimization, with in-office presence required two days per week and a strong focus on SRE practices and security alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in core networking technologies and protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, BFD.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid-cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Strong experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex troubleshooting efforts and resolve high-severity production incidents.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and hybrid-cloud network architectures.
• Develop network standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps supporting business growth.
• Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and service providers to improve performance and scalability.
• Design and manage cloud networking solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Support and optimize hybrid connectivity using AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Azure VNet, and ExpressRoute.
• Establish and mature Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices for network operations.
