Job summary

State of Wisconsin Investment Board is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to oversee the build and transformation of its cloud-native technology stack. You will ensure SDLC best practices across software, data, and infrastructure with a focus on reliability and security.

You will partner with cloud-native development teams, drive continuous improvement, and create reusable components and workflows that scale engineering experience while enabling rapid, high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Site Reliability Engineering experience.
• Strong background in designing, implementing, and delivering complex architectures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud in production (AWS preferred).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of information security concepts and practices.
• Interest in AI technologies and applying them to software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Function as SME in reliable, performant, robust, secure apps with multi-region/multi-cloud patterns.
• Collaborate with dev teams to design, document, maintain highly available systems.
• Design, implement, and manage centralized monitoring for actionable feedback.
