Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Cloud Operations Site Reliability Engineer to join the Cloud, Platform, and AI Infrastructure team in Pittsburgh or Lake Mary. You will run and optimize multi-cloud operations, focusing on Azure and GCP, with additional support for AWS/OCI, AKS, Kubernetes, and AI/ML infrastructure.

You will automate routines with Terraform and scripting, support incident response, and collaborate with security and engineering teams to ensure reliable production changes and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in cloud operations, SRE or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and GCP in enterprise production environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AKS, Terraform, and observability tools.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted databases (Azure SQL MI, Oracle) and security tooling (Wiz, Qualys).

Responsibilities

• Operate and support multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP; AWS/OCI as needed).
• Manage cloud provisioning, configuration changes, service requests and decommissioning.
• Support AKS/Kubernetes and containerized workloads with engineering teams.
• Maintain Linux systems and cloud-hosted databases (Azure SQL MI, Oracle).
• Drive incident response, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Automate routines with Terraform, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Participate in release management and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with security, governance and compliance teams.
