ByteDance is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate global, large-scale infrastructure spanning public and private clouds. You will develop tooling, monitoring, and automation to optimize operations and standardize cloud images, while participating in on-call rotations to troubleshoot cloud, OS, network, and performance incidents.

The role emphasizes end-to-end lifecycle improvements and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Linux operations, SRE, or DevOps.
• Strong CS fundamentals, Linux OS, networking, storage, GPUs, and databases.
• Familiar with reliability practices: monitoring, capacity, change, incidents, postmortems.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, scale, and operate ByteDance’s global infrastructure across public and private clouds.
• Develop tools, automation, visualizations, and monitoring to streamline operations.
• Create and standardize cloud AMIs/images per global compliance standards.
• Engage in on-call rotations addressing incidents related to cloud, OS, network, performance, and reliability.
• Drive improvements across the infrastructure lifecycle from ideation to deployment and support.
