Job summary

Okta is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Emerging Products Group. You will design, build, and operate highly reliable cloud services, emphasizing automation, observability, and platform engineering to empower AI-ready workloads.

You will partner with software engineers and product teams to automate toil, improve deployment safety, and scale our production systems in a secure, compliant manner.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-scale production services in cloud environments.
• Strong Linux and container orchestration capabilities.
• Proven ability to automate and improve reliability with infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure and production services.
• Participate in global on-call rotations for highly available systems.
• Drive post-incident reviews and system-wide improvements.
• Define, measure, and improve SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance deployment safety and reliability.
• Develop self-service platforms and automation to boost developer velocity.
