Job summary

Janea Systems is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to design scalable, production-grade architectures for enterprise software systems. You will lead cross-functional teams, define standards, and guide complex implementations across cloud platforms and APIs.

The role emphasizes architectural leadership, client-facing collaboration, and mentorship, with fully remote options for European or LATAM residence. Strong English communication and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering or backend architecture.
• 5+ years in an architect or senior technical leadership capacity.
• Experience in client-facing consulting or professional services.
• Experience supporting pre-sales work and delivery estimation.
• Strong experience in large-scale, production-grade systems.
• Deep knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and APIs.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, C++, or similar languages.
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Data modeling, data pipelines, and relational/non-relational stores.
• Security, performance, observability, and cost management focus.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures for enterprise applications and cloud platforms.
• Define system-level architectures across services, APIs, and data stores.
• Ensure availability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Document decisions with trade-offs and technology choices.
• Provide architectural leadership to engineering teams on client projects.
• Establish best practices for system design, security, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers on building scalable software systems.
