Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate our public sector practice.

You will own technical engagements, define architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies while guiding customers and partners toward secure, scalable cloud solutions. You will lead architectural discussions, mentor peers, and help drive best practices across enterprise customers and SI/solution providers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and success around specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs using AWS technologies.
• Be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community.
