Royal Caribbean Group’s Global Information Technology Team is seeking a Lead Engineer, Solution Architecture and Engineering, onsite in Miramar, FL. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering.
• 7+ years in infrastructure engineering or related technology roles.
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM Templates.
• Experience with databases, middleware, and enterprise workloads.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and platform automation.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and ArgoCD.
• Docker and Kubernetes for containerized workloads.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and architecture teams.
• Experience designing holistic, scalable solutions that align with long‑term enterprise strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver infrastructure solutions across Royal Caribbean Group’s enterprise technology landscape.
• Act as solution owner from project inception through production delivery.
• Lead technical discovery sessions to translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical designs.
• Drive standardization, best practices, and reusable design patterns across infrastructure domains.
• Architect and implement cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Design and deploy compute, storage, networking, and platform services with a security-first mindset.
• Partner with specialized infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions across multiple domains.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, and CloudFormation.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and updates.
• Automate operations including scaling, monitoring, and patch management.
• Deploy and operate containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Lead hands-on R&D and PoC efforts to evaluate emerging technologies.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers on cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps best practices.
