Job Summary

JCS Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Solution Architect to support our growing portfolio of government clients. This high-impact role requires a technically skilled architect who excels in full-stack cloud solution design, implementation, and consulting on major government cloud platforms, focusing on secure, scalable, and mission-critical solutions tailored to government needs.

You will collaborate closely with government clients and solutions teams to deliver full lifecycle support—from understanding customer business use cases to architecting compliant cloud solutions, overseeing implementation, and ensuring successful deployment in QA and production environments. Your strategic insights and leadership will help shape government digital transformation initiatives.

The Senior Cloud Solution Architect develops strategic approaches to cloud platforms, aligning technical solutions with business objectives. This role involves translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable cloud architecture designs.

Key responsibilities include evaluating and designing integrated solutions across software platforms, ensuring interoperability, and leveraging DevOps best practices for automation. As a senior technical authority, the architect addresses advanced challenges in systems integration, platform compatibility, and cross-platform functionality.

This role leads the full lifecycle of cloud initiatives—from feasibility analysis and strategic planning to architecture design and project execution. The architect may oversee large development teams, ensuring timely and successful project completion.

Deep expertise in cloud architecture planning and implementation is essential, with a holistic understanding of systems design across hardware, software, communications, networking, and security domains. The architect plans new cloud deployments and enhancements, applying advanced techniques to optimize architectures in support of client growth and evolving requirements.

The architect engages directly with customers to gather requirements, define strategies, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support. Whether serving as a key team member or individual expert, this role requires leadership, innovation, and a commitment to delivering mission-critical cloud solutions.

What you will do:

• Engage directly with government customers to understand business and technical requirements.
• Develop and present secure, compliant cloud architecture recommendations.
• Support implementation, deployment, and troubleshooting phases.
• Define implementation roadmaps, including access controls, secure network architecture, and recovery strategies.
• Define test plans, integration requirements, and delivery checkpoints.
• Deliver scalable solutions across multiple availability zones and regions.
• Create and deliver comprehensive documentation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support federal projects.
• Integrate cloud services with government compliance and operational needs.
• Provide thought leadership on cloud environment design, focusing on networking, segmentation, and vendor services.
• Design technical blueprints for repeatable implementation patterns.
• Oversee cloud environment provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and security.
• Work closely with security, architecture, and DevOps teams to develop consistent practices.
• Lead infrastructure migration methodologies across cloud accounts.
• Review and refine new cloud or SaaS solution designs.
• Implement systems to manage cloud costs, monitoring, scalability, and redundancy.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to security and compliance standards.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree
• TS Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• At least 8 years of experience
• Minimum 3 years working with AWS government enclaves (SC2S and C2S)
• Programming experience in C#, Java, and Python
• Experience with containerization (Kubernetes & Docker)
• Cloud development experience (AWS)
• Microservices development and best practices
