Job summary

J&T seeks an experienced Senior Cloud Software Engineer in Annapolis, MD to design and implement distributed cloud-based systems. You will work with Java, Hadoop ecosystem, and RESTful services, delivering scalable analytics solutions across multi-node deployments.

Required are 8+ years in software engineering, 2+ years in Big Data/cloud tech, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Bachelor’s degree or higher is expected, with strong UNIX/Linux and DevOps skills.

Qualifications

• Eight years of software engineering experience required.
• Two years in Big-Data Cloud technologies and/or Distributed Computing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Four years of cloud software engineering may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Master's in CS may substitute for two years of experience.
• Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer may substitute for one year of cloud experience.
• Two years of Cloud and Distributed Computing IR experience required.
• One year of code interacting with Cloud Big Table.
• One year of code interacting with Cloud Distributed File System.
• One year of experience with MapReduce analytics.
• One year of code interacting with Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks.
• Experience in Network Operations: Utility Computing, Network Management, Virtualization, multi-node management.
• Information Assurance: securing cloud-based apps via PKI, Firewalls, server authentication.
• Object-Oriented design and programming: Java, RESTful services, MAVEN.
• Cloud & Distributed Computing: YARN, HDFS, HBase, MongoDB, etc.
• Unix/Linux, CentOS experience.
• SIGINT collection disciplines knowledge.
• DevOps, Elastic Search, NiFi, Python, Java/Spring Boot, Angular.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph.
