Job summary

Belay Technologies seeks a Cloud Software Engineer to join our intel team in Maryland. You will develop, maintain, and optimize complex Big-Data Cloud systems, focusing on back-end processing, indexing, and analysis.

You’ll work with Java, C/C++, JavaScript, and cloud technologies while ensuring high-quality software components. The role requires strong experience in distributed systems, object-oriented design, and communication of complex technical concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; four additional SWE years may substitute for degree; Master's may substitute for two years.
• Eight years’ experience as a Software Engineer including requirements analysis, development, testing.
• Six years’ experience in Java/C/C++, JavaScript on Windows or UNIX/Linux (CentOS).
• Experience designing and developing at least one Object Oriented system.
• Excellent technical writing and ability to generate software development documents.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex Big-Data Cloud systems based on requirements.
• Contributes to back-end processing, analysis, and indexing; reviews and tests software components.
• Proposes hardware/software trade-offs and reuse of COTS/GOTS where suitable.
