Job summary

Lenovo in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to help shape cloud software products and solutions in the CSW group. You will design, document, and review cloud architectures while collaborating with product engineering, project management and business strategy teams to ensure interoperable, scalable solutions.

You will work with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes and modern languages like Java and Angular, participating in design reviews, security assessments and open-source

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Solution Design and Software Architecture.
• 5+ years of software architecture experience with cloud-hosted software solutions (e.g., RESTful APIs, containerized apps, microservices).
• 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: CloudXR, Omniverse Digital Twin, Metaverse, AWS, Azure, Microservices.
• 2+ years of experience with two or more of the following: SOAP, SAML, JSON, and Postgres/SQL/No‑SQL/MongoDB.
• 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile development processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and document designs.
• Attend design and security reviews.
• Work with other product engineering teams to reconcile alignment with other solutions.
• Work across business units to align strategic relationships.
• Address industry standards activities, work with open-source communities, and evangelize Lenovo and its offerings through media.
• Participate in executive reviews.
