Job summary

WRA, Inc. is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to lead cloud and SaaS platforms, including Azure Virtual Desktop and Microsoft 365. You will stand up new tools, migrate from MSP, and drive automation while maintaining a strong security posture.

Based in the US, you may work fully remotely with occasional travel to California offices 1–2 times per year. You will collaborate with the Director of IT & Cybersecurity to elevate our in-house IT capabilities and safeguard distributed staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years supporting hybrid/remote workforces of 50+.

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktops and app servers.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID including CA, provisioning and governance.
• Experience managing endpoints with Intune or comparable tooling.
• Proficient in PowerShell for 365/Azure administration.
• Experience with IAM automation and ITSM integrations (Jira/Freshservice).
• Ability to work autonomously with a high-trust environment.

Responsibilities

• Own Azure environment including VDesktop, VMs, patching, and scaling.
• Deploy VM monitoring, alerts, and performance optimization.
• Administer Microsoft 365—Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams.
• Maintain Entra ID and SSO with conditional access.
• Lead endpoint management and device configuration (Autopilot, MDM).
• Build IT automations via PowerShell and Graph APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve Claude AI implementation.
• Support security operations and incident response activities.
• Ensure alignment with CMMC/NIST controls and incident containment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and change management.
