Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to define secure cloud standards and drive security throughout architecture, pipelines, and identity controls. You’ll write Terraform configurations, set guardrails, and partner with multiple engineering teams to embed security into every design.

You will shape policy as code, implement secure-by-default patterns, and lead remediation of findings across cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Cloud security architecture experience required.
• Hands-on with Terraform and cloud security tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD security scanning and SAST/DAST.

Responsibilities

• Define and own cloud security architecture patterns across cloud platforms.
• Own policy as code, including definitions, assignments, and governance across the cloud estate.
• Establish secure-by-default reference patterns in partnership with the Principal Cloud Engineer.
• Translate enterprise security policy into cloud-native controls with architecture teams.
• Build and configure security tooling directly into CI/CD pipelines (IaC scanning, container image scanning, SAST/DAST).
• Own supply-chain risk reviews for CI/CD integrations with the DevOps team.
• Harden cloud-native and AI workloads with network isolation and secret management; fix findings during build.
• Triage and remediate critical pipeline findings with engineering teams.
