Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will design, implement, and manage security controls across cloud platforms, ensuring data protection and compliance in a remote-first organization.

This role requires 5+ years in cloud security, hands-on experience with SIEM/IDS/IPS, and strong scripting skills. Certifications such as CISSP or CCSP are highly desirable. Competitive salary and remote work flexibility are offered.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of security principles for AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and encryption technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) for security automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of network security, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty) are highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls and architectures across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud operations.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents, responding rapidly to mitigate threats and minimize impact.
• Implement and manage security tools for IAM, data encryption, network security, and threat detection.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
• Stay current with emerging cloud security threats and technologies, providing proactive defense strategies.
