Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver next-generation cloud security services within our Next Gen Firewall as a Service team. You will architect and code world-class security features on major cloud providers and take ownership of critical components.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, focused on cloud-native apps.
• Strong skills in Python, Go, or Java for distributed systems.
• Experience with AI coding tools.
• Experience with cloud-native service development on AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud networking/topologies.
• Education: MS/BS in CS Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy scalable features for NextGen Firewall as a Service.
• Own end-to-end workflow for the service expansion.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality software.
• Contribute to development processes for a v1 service.
• Identify and mitigate risks; mentor teammates as needed.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Tech Support to improve customer experiences.
• Design front-end for the service across platforms.
• Interview, mentor and onboard new team members.
