Job summary

Prosper is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer to own cloud security across GCP and Azure, embed security into infrastructure with Terraform, and lead vulnerability management with engineering partners. You will strengthen data and endpoint security, tune Chronicle detections, and drive incident response.

You’ll mentor engineers, define practical security standards, and collaborate across teams to reduce risk while leveraging AI tools responsibly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years experience.
• Strong hands-on experience securing cloud environments in GCP and/or Azure.
• Deep understanding of IAM, networking, logging, monitoring, and encryption.
• Proven ability to identify real risk vs. noise using CNAPP tools like Wiz.
• Experience with Terraform and security-as-code, including CI/CD integrations.
• Solid vulnerability management experience, including prioritization and remediation with engineering teams.
• Knowledge of data security (DLP, sensitive data discovery) and endpoint/identity platforms (Okta, MDM, Google Workspace).
• Experience with SIEM tools like Chronicle, including detection engineering and incident support.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (e.g., Python).
• Comfortable owning projects end-to-end in a collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with AI agents and tools aligned with Prosper’s AI approach.
• Understanding of common cloud attack paths and security fault exposure.
• Strong collaboration and clear risk communication.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud security across GCP and Azure, driving initiatives from design through execution.
• Operationalize CNAPP tooling, cut noise, and prioritize high-impact issues.
• Embed security into infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD for scalable controls.
• Lead vulnerability management end-to-end with engineering to ship fixes quickly.
• Strengthen data and endpoint security (DLP, EDR, identity, device posture).
• Improve detection and response by tuning detections in Chronicle and supporting incident response.
• Identify and fix cloud misconfigurations (IAM, networking, firewalls, encryption).
• Define security standards and runbooks engineers can adopt.
• Act as senior escalation point during security incidents and drive triage.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate code review, triage, and security analysis with guardrails.
• Mentor engineers and raise the security bar through collaboration and risk communication.
