Job summary

Peraton in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join a DoD-focused team. You will plan, build, and harden secure cloud environments, implement RMF and STIGs, and integrate cybersecurity tooling into CI/CD pipelines.

You will work with AWS and Azure, IAM controls, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code, ensuring secure design, monitoring, and compliance across the system lifecycle. A TS eligibility is preferred for sensitive missions.

Qualifications

• Experience with RMF, STIGs, ATO processes and documentation.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
• Experience supporting AWS cloud migrations and cloud networking.
• Ability to integrate cybersecurity tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and IaC (Terraform/Ansible).
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, harden, and manage secure cloud environments.
• Assess and implement cybersecurity controls across cloud infra and data.
• Ensure compliance with RMF, STIGs, and security best practices.
• Support ATO/Continuous ATO activities and maintain security documentation.
• Configure tools for vulnerability scanning, remediation, and monitoring.
• Integrate cybersecurity tooling into CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Support secure AWS cloud migration activities.
• Implement cloud logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities.
• Collaborate to secure cloud networking, storage, Kubernetes, and IaC deployments.
• Manage IAM, least-privilege access, authentication, and privileged-access controls.
