Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Security Engineer 4 to lead design and delivery of automated security controls across cloud and on-prem environments in Riverwoods, IL. You will architect scalable IAM, endpoint, network, and data protection solutions and develop automation for vulnerability management and compliance monitoring.

You will act as a technical advisor during incident response and forensics investigations, partnering with software, cloud and infrastructure teams to embed security by design

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years of cybersecurity/IT experience
• At least 3 years in a cloud-based environment
• At least 2 years designing and implementing automated security solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of technology platforms and automated controls across cloud and on-prem environments
• Architect and implement scalable IAM, endpoint, network, and data protection systems
• Develop automation for vulnerability management, detection, and compliance monitoring
• Serve as technical advisor during incident response and forensics investigations
• Partner with software, cloud and infrastructure teams to embed security by design
• Evaluate and integrate new security technologies for interoperability and scalability
• Influence engineering standards, patterns, and reusable modules
• Support security tooling, investigations, and break/fix activities
