Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Network Engineer to architect end-to-end connectivity with security and automation across on-prem and cloud environments. You will shape deployment automation, standards, and lifecycle for enterprise networks, WAN/SD-WAN, and SaaS fronted services.

The role focuses on design patterns, observability, and incident response, partnering with Cloud, Security, and SRE teams to drive reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or at least 8 years of experience in network engineering.
• 8+ years of experience with routing protocols (BGP, Link-State Protocols, and Tunneling Protocols).
• 8+ years of experience with network encapsulation technologies (LANS, VLANs, overlay networks) and physical devices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design end-to-end connectivity systems with security and operational frameworks.
• Define and drive standards across vendor platforms, cloud environments and in-house software.
• Own architecture and lifecycle of enterprise and cloud network ecosystems.
