Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to support cloud infrastructure and security platforms across AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes. This role sits within the Database Protection Team, focusing on database activity monitoring and related security capabilities for a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of cloud infrastructure or security engineering experience.
• Experience with AWS and Azure in production environments.
• Administration or advanced support of Kubernetes clusters.
• Cloud infrastructure engineering and operational support experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and connectivity issues.
• Strong independent, senior-L3 technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and enhance database protection and monitoring platforms.
• Build, configure, and maintain cloud-hosted infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Administer Kubernetes clusters used by security and data-protection services.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud, infrastructure, networking, application, and connectivity issues.
• Onboard databases, applications, and systems into security platforms.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, infrastructure, and data-protection teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Improve platform reliability, stability, and performance; provide operational support.
• Implement platform upgrades and new technical capabilities.
• Support infrastructure-as-code and deployment-pipeline initiatives.
• Serve as an L3 technical resource for complex resolutions.
